German donors and sponsors are entitled to deduct their donations from their taxable income. For this purpose VFAVR issues in January of each year receipts of the donations received during the previous year which are accepted by the German tax authorities. Foreign donors and sponsors may get tax exemption for their donations from their respective national AVI-organisation, which may channel such donations to VFAVR in case of public funded projects where VFAVR has to contribute at least 10% of the project volume as project sponsor.

At present we collect donations for the upcoming project of extension of the Micro-Finance Corpus Fund of AVAG. Such donations should be channelled through VFAVR, because VFAVR can increase manyfold the value of such funds by its cooperation with the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). VFAVR has trice successfully applied to BMZ for grants amounting to 75% of total project cost. It means, the higher VFAVR's contribution is for a project, the higher is the grant from the German Government. Therefore, please channel donations dedicated to the further extension of AVAG's capability to provide micro-credits and to advise the rural population of the Auroville-Region to VFAVR and not to AVAG in Auroville directly!
